Reminiscent Memories was written for a group of friends of mine in Spring 2025. It was premiered on my Senior Composition Recital.
In this work, I wanted to write a work that is energetic and explores the full range of the group. There are moments tat the Trumpets have the floor and moments where the Flugels have the floor so to speak. I wanted to write where every performer has a little light to shine and play beautifully. In has more polyphonic sections where each performer has an isolated line, not with any other performer and more homogenous sections where the trumpets plays together in a more chord-like structure with the Flugels laying down a more rhythmic and moving line to keep tempo and create movement.
